BSSC Senior Cadre Forming 2025: Future Leaders Assemble

Jakarta – BSSC 15th Presidency held an annual event called BSSC Senior Cadre Forming 2025, carrying the theme “Future Leaders Assemble”. This training program aimed to prepare current activists with the skills and mindset needed to lead the organization in the upcoming presidency. The event was held for two days, on May 30th and 31st, 2025. This year, we invited two external speakers and one internal speaker from within the organization. The speakers talk about “Strategic Management: How to effectively manage a project”, “Branding”, “GOG: The Way of BINUS Organizations”,“Regeneration”. The event was held fully onsite at Oak Room, BINUS Square.

On May 30th, 2025, the event started with an opening speech by the MC, followed by prayer together. Then, everyone stood up to sing the BSSC Mars together, led by the MC. Afterward, participants sat down to listen to the rules and regulations read by the MC. Then followed by a welcoming speech from Felicia Susanty, as the Chairman of the BSSC 15th Presidency, who also serves as the Project Manager of BSSC Senior Cadre Forming 2025. Next, participants were given an Insight Enrichment template containing questions about the core topics of the upcoming sessions, which they were required to submit after the material presentations were finished.

The first session of the day featured a material titled “Branding”, delivered by Ms. Candy Reggi Sonia, S.Ds., M.Ds. In this session, participants learned many valuable insights about branding, including different types of branding and real-world examples from globally recognized brands such as Starbucks and Netflix. While the session was ongoing, participants also completed their Insight Enrichment templates, using references directly from the speaker’s presentation. Following the session, they were given the opportunity to ask questions related to the topic for further clarification and discussion. The session concluded successfully with a certificate of appreciation awarded to the speaker.

The event continued with an ice-breaking session featuring a game called “Freeze Dance”. During the activity, participants were instructed to dance while the music was playing. When the MC called “Stop!” and the music paused, all participants were required to immediately freeze and remain still. Participants who were not dancing when the music was playing, or who moved after the music had stopped were given a lighthearted consequence — they were asked to come forward and perform a short dance in front of the group.

The second material to be delivered, “Strategic Management: How to Effectively Manage a Project”, by the speaker Mr. Reijaldy Lamdha Fandji, S.M. who was the Chairman of BSSC 7th Presidency. We learned useful things about project manager roles, project phases, and SMART goals. The participants also answered the question on the insight enrichment template. After that, the participants had the opportunity to ask related questions about the material taught by the speaker. The first material session did well and ended with an awarding of a certificate to the speaker.

After the second and final material session of Day 1 at BSSC Senior Cadre Forming 2025, participants were asked to submit their completed Insight Enrichment templates. This was followed by the announcement of group assignments for Day 2, along with a detailed briefing on the group task, delivered by Kak Feli. Then, participants were asked to fill out the Day 1 evaluation form to provide feedback on the event. The day concluded with a photo session and tagline documentation involving all participants, speakers, and committee members.
