BSSC Gathering 2025: Unite & Ignite in Purpose: A Celebration of Student Spirit and Solidarity

Jakarta, 8 June 2025 – On June 8th, 2025, a gathering was held by the Binus Square Student Committee (BSSC). Through this event, all the members of BSSC had the opportunity to experience the spirit of togetherness, strengthen internal bonds, and build a sense of belonging within the organization. The event started with filling in the entry ticket form. The first destination was in Bumi Perkemahan Ragunan, where we engaged in various team-building activities in a refreshing natural setting. Upon arrival, the participants were directed to the camp that was already well-prepared by the event committee members.

The opening session began with a welcome speech from the project manager, Bryan Sebastian Liestyanto, who gave his speech, expressing his hope that the gathering event can unite and ignite all the members of BSSC, just like the theme of this event. The Chairman of BSSC, Felicia Susanty, also gave a speech emphasizing the importance of collaboration between education and industry. Last but not least, Muhammad Raziva Ramza Aziz, S.E. as the Student Organization Advisor also gave a very heartwarming speech to all of us.

After the welcoming remarks, before we jump into the first activity, Halwa Sa’ima Putri Lakia and Safira Mariam Mutiara Sari as the duo MC start to give an ice break towards the activists that is called ‘DOR, BOOM, AH’. It was a relief short game to make all of the activists relaxed. Next, the MCs started to give a brief announcement to the participants about the group distribution that will last until the end of the event, starting from group 1 until group 5. The first activity that we had is a yell-yell, which is going to be presented by all the teams that have been announced. Each team enthusiastically showcased their creativity and energy through their unique chants and cheers, setting a lively and spirited tone for the rest of the day.

And next, the MCs explained the rules of the games. For the first game, it was called ‘Capture the Glass’, where two groups competed against each other to steal a glass placed at the opponent’s base. The main objective was for one group to successfully grab the glass and return to their base without being tagged by the opposing team. If a group managed to do that, they were declared the winner of that round. This game was full of excitement, strategy, and teamwork, as each team had to plan their moves carefully—some focusing on defense, while others made daring attempts to infiltrate the opponent’s side. The energy was high, and everyone participated with great enthusiasm, making it a thrilling start to the series of games that followed.

The second game was called ‘Mingle’, a fun and fast-paced activity that tested participants’ reflexes and social awareness. The rules were simple yet engaging. There were 10 designated spots for participants to gather. While the music played, everyone was allowed to move freely around the area, mingling and enjoying the rhythm. However, once the music stopped, the game master would suddenly call out a random number –for example, “4”—and participants had to quickly group themselves into exactly four people per spot. Anyone who failed to form a group with the exact number called was unfortunately eliminated from the game. The game continued with different numbers being called in each round, creating a lively and sometimes chaotic atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement. It was a great way to encourage participants to interact with different people, build quick connections, and stay alert throughout the activity.

To end the activities in Bumi Perkemahan Ragunan, we started to document the moment together by taking group photos and capturing shots of laughter, teamwork, and togetherness. These photos serve as a reminder of the joyful memories we created during the day.

The next destination was Taman Margasatwa Ragunan. We went there by bus and the location was not too far from Bumi Perkemahan Ragunan. Each group that had been previously announced was given 2-3 hours to explore the zoo freely and enjoy the various animal exhibits. During this time, participants had the chance to bond more casually while observing the wildlife, taking pictures together, and sharing fun moments throughout the visit.

As part of the activity, each group was also required to create a short vlog documenting their experience in the zoo. It was an exhausting yet relaxing and enjoyable part of the day, allowing everyone to unwind and appreciate nature after the series of activities earlier. As the time wrapped up, we gathered once again to prepare for the journey back to BINUS Square, bringing home not just photos, but lasting memories and strengthening friendships.
