Kegiatan yang meningkatkan kepedulian BINUSIAN terhadap komunitas dan lingkungan sekitarnya. BINUSIAN dapat mengikuti ataupun menginisiasi kegiatan sosial secara mandiri yang akan di fasilitasi oleh Teach For Indonesia.

The activities increase BINUSIANS’ care for their community and surrounding environment. BINUSIANS can join or initiate social activities independently that will be facilitated by Teach for Indonesia.

• Workshop/Training/Seminar

Dalam perkembangannya, nilai akademis yang tinggi tidak lagi menjadi tiket utama dalam meraih kesuksesan. Penting bagi seorang Mahasiswa mengasah soft skill yang akan menjadi pelengkap  dalam meraih puncak sukses. Ditambah lagi, BINUS UNIVERSITY memiliki atribut kelulusan yang disebut dengan BINUS Graduate Attributes. Setiap BINUSIAN perlu mengembangkannya selama menempuh perkuliahan untuk dapat mendukungnya menjadi lulusan yang siap bersaing di dunia global.

• Counseling

Program Konseling adalah salah satu program yang bertujuan untuk membantu BINUSIAN yang membutuhkan konsultasi baik di bidang akademis maupun non akademis (hal terkait masalah personal dan interaksi sosial) yang dapat mengganggu keberhasilan belajar selama kuliah. Layanan Konsultasi untuk mahasiswa terbuka setiap harinya di jam kerja dan ditangani oleh staf konselor dengan latar belakang Ilmu Psikologi. Layanan konsultasi ini diberikan secara gratis (tidak dipungut biaya) untuk membantu para mahasiswa maupun orang tua terkait masalah yang dihadapi.

The Counseling Program is designed to help BINUSIANS who need academic or non-academic consultations (related to personal and social interaction problems) for matters which can disrupt their learning success while at the university. The consultation service for students is open every day during work hours and is managed by a counselor staff who have backgrounds in Psychology. This consultation service is provided free of charge to assist students or their parents related to any problems they may have to face.

Selain melakukan layanan berupa konsultasi pribadi, program konseling bekerja sama dengan jurusan juga menyediakan program support group yang merupakan wadah untuk para mahasiswa untuk saling berbagi pengalaman mengenai berbagai kondisi yang mereka hadapi sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini membantu para mahasiswa yang memiliki permasalahan yang sama untuk dapat saling berbagi dan mendukung satu sama lain dengan difasilitasi oleh para konselor Student Advisor & Support Center (SASC). Konseling juga mengadakan kegiatan seminar yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan mahasiswa untuk lebih mengenal diri lewat tema-tema yang diangkat yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan Mahasiswa.

Besides doing a personal consultation service, the counseling program works in coordination with the department to provide a support group program which is a means for students to exchange their experiences about the various conditions they face on a daily basis. This activity helps students who have the same problems, so that they can share with and support each other. It is facilitated by counselors of the Student Advisory & Support Center (SASC). Counseling is also done through seminars where students get the opportunity to know themselves better through the themes that are raised and adjusted based on students’ needs.

• Mentoring

Kegiatan mentoring berfokus pada penyampaian materi kuliah dengan pendekatan individual selama satu semester. Di dalam sebuah kelompok yang tetap selama satu semester, mentor akan dilatih untuk menjadi pemimpin kelompok yang membimbing 2 – 10 orang mentee dalam mempelajari mata kuliah dengan metode diskusi, latihan soal, ataupun berbagi pengetahuan atau pengalaman.

The mentoring activities are focused on conveying college material with an individual approach for one semester. In the same group for one semester, the mentor will be trained to become the group leader and guide 2–10 mentees in learning class material with a discussion method, task exercises, or various knowledge or experiences.

• Tutorial Class

Di semester awal, mungkin BINUSIAN sering mendengar kabar bahwa terdapat mata kuliah yang dikenal sulit, atau mata kuliah yang menjadi dasar/basic untuk mata kuliah lain yang lebih lanjut, maka untuk bisa menguasi mata kuliah ini menjadi sangat penting. Untuk beberapa mata kuliah yang menjadi dasar ini, biasanya akan dibuka kelas Tutorial, yang merupakan program yang dipersiapkan oleh Student Advisory & Support Center (SASC) subunit Mentoring untuk para Freshmen.

In the beginning semester, maybe BINUSIANS often hear that there are classes which are known to be difficult, or classes which have fundamental/basic material for more advanced classes. Therefore, it is very important to be able to master these courses. For several of these introductory courses, there are usually tutorial classes which are part of a program that is prepared by the Student Advisory & Support Center (SASC) Mentoring Subunit for Freshmen.

Di kelas ini, Freshmen bisa mendapatkan penjelasan tambahan mengenai mata kuliah tertentu dari para Tutor. Tutor-tutor ini merupakan kakak kelas Freshmen yang sudah tim Mentoring pilih dan persiapkan agar bisa membantu Freshmen. Peserta di kelas Tutorial ini juga tidak dipungut biaya atau gratis. In this class, freshmen can receive an additional explanation about certain courses from tutors. These tutors are upperclassmen who have been chosen to be part of the mentoring team and trained to help freshmen. The participants can join this tutorial class free of charge. • Tempat Cerita

Bercerita dapat melegakan. Sayangnya, tidak semua BINUSIAN nyaman untuk bercerita ketika sedang mengalami beban berat. Alasannya pun beragam, mulai dari cemas akan pendapat orang lain, takut ceritanya tersebar luas, atau alasan pribadi lainnya.

Sharing can provide a relief. Unfortunately, not all BINUSIANS are comfortable to share when they experience overwhelming burdens. Their reasons can be various, such as being worried about what other people may think, feeling worried about their problems becoming widespread, or having other personal reasons.

“Tempat Cerita” ini ada untuk BINUSIAN yang ingin berbagi cerita tentang apapun, yang tidak dapat diceritakan ke orang lain.  Agar BINUSIAN merasa aman untuk bercerita, BINUSIAN tidak perlu memberikan identitas apapun saat menulis cerita, dan kakak konselor akan membalas cerita yang masuk di Instagram Live & Instagram Story.

This “Tempat Cerita” is for BINUSIANS who want to share about anything that cannot be told to other people. In order that BINUSIANS feel comfortable to share, BINUSIANS do not need to provide their identities when writing a story, and the upperclassman counselor will reply to the story that is sent in Instagram Live & Instagram Story.

• BINUS Festival

Ajang presentasi ide bisnis BINUSIAN. Kegiatan ini adalah kegiatan rutin yang diadakan setiap semester untuk mengajak BINUSIAN lebih mengenal dan mendalami dunia entrepreneur melalui ide bisnis yang dipamerkan. Acara ini juga merupakan suatu bentuk motivasi kepada BINUSIAN untuk menjadi entrepreneur.

This event presents BINUSIANS’ business ideas. This activity is held routinely every semester to encourage BINUSIANS to become more familiar with and better understand the entrepreneur world through the business ideas that are exhibited. This event also strives to motivate BINUSIANS to become entrepreneurs.

• Student Organization

Sebagai salah satu wadah pengembangan hard skills dan soft skills yang dibutuhkan oleh BINUSIAN. BINUS UNIVERSITY memiliki Organisasi Kemahasiswaan yang terdiri dari Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan (HMJ) dan Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM). Setiap Organisasi Kemahasiwaan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda sesuai dengan bidang yang dijalankannya. Oleh karena itu, BINUSIAN dapat memilih Organisasi Kemahasiswaan yang sesuai dengan minat dan tujuan pengembangan dirinya.

As a means to develop the hard skills and soft skills that are needed by BINUSIANS, BINUS UNIVERSITY has a Student Affairs Organization, which consists of the Department Student Association (HMJ) and the Student Activity Unit (UKM). Every Student Affairs Organization has different characteristics according to the field that is carried out. Therefore, BINUSIANS can choose a Student Affairs Organization that matches with their interests and goals for self-development.

Enrichment Program

Untuk memberikan pengkayaan kepada mahasiswa program pendidikan jenjang S1 dan D4 di BINUS UNIVERSITY, mahasiswa di wajibkan untuk mengikuti Enrichment Program yang telah ditentukan oleh Program Studi masing-masing dengan jangka waktu 4 – 6 bulan (40 jam kerja/minggu). Melalui Enrichment Program, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan pengalaman baru, memperdalam Employability and Entrepreneurial skill (EES) dan juga mempraktekkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang sudah dimiliki. EES merupakan sekelompok keterampilan utama sebagai pelengkap core competency (hard skill) yang sudah dipelajari, untuk mempersiapkan lulusan BINUS UNIVERSITY bekerja di perusahaan/institusi/komunitas dan berwirausaha. Enam keterampilan utama (soft skill) dalam EES adalah self-management, team work, communication, initiative & enterprise, problem solving & decision making, planning & organizing.

To provide enrichment to students from the undergraduate degree and four-year diploma education programs at BINUS UNIVERSITY, students are required to join an Enrichment Program that is determined by their respective study programs for a period of 4-6 months (40 work hours/ week). Through the Enrichment Program, students are expected to be able to obtain new knowledge and experiences, deepen their employability and entrepreneurial skills (EES), and practice using their knowledge and skills. EES is a group of primary skills as supplements to the core competencies (hard skills) that have already been learned to prepare the BINUS UNIVERSITY graduates to work in a company/ institution/ community and as an entrepreneur. The six soft skills in EES are: self-management, teamwork, communication, initiative and enterprise, problem solving and decision making, as well as planning and organizing.

• Community Development Track

Community Development (Comdev) merupakan salah satu track pilihan yang terdapat pada Enrichment Program, melalui metode interaksi langsung dan berkontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat bersama Teach For Indonesia (TFI). Di comdev track mahasiswa akan berinteraksi dan mengimplementasikan bidang ilmunya secara langsung di komunitas/masyarakat.

Community Development (Comdev) is one of the tracks that can be chosen in the Enrichment Program, through direct interactions and real contributions to improve society’s life quality along with Teach for Indonesia (TFI). In the Comdev track, students will interact and implement their field of knowledge directly in the community/society.

2. Community Development Projects di berbagai Non-Profit Organization (NGO), lembaga pemerintahan, institusi nasional maupun internasional

2. Community Development Projects at various non-government organizations (NGOs), government institutions, as well as national and international institutions.

• Research Track

Apa itu Research Track? Merupakan program penelitian kolaboratif antara dosen dengan mahasiswa dimana mahasiswa terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan penelitian yang mengasah kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penulisan ilmiah.

What is the Research Track? It is a collaborative research program between lecturers and students where the students are directly involved in research activities which hone their academic writing skills.

Value Proposition: Mempersiapkan mahasiswa agar memiliki kemampuan analisis yang baik. Dalam kegiatan penelitian ini, mahasiswa bertindak selaku anggota team peneliti.

Value Proposition: It prepares students to have good analytical abilities. In this research activity, students act as research team members.

• Internship Track

Untuk mendukung kegiatan Enrichment Program yaitu proses pembelajaran selama 3 tahun di kampus dan 1 tahun Enrichment Program dimana salah satunya adalah Internship/magang, maka pada tahun 2019 didirikan sebuah unit yang secara khusus membantu penempatan mahasiswa dalam proses Internship/magang dan menyediakan informasi kebutuhan Internship/magang dari partner industri. Saat ini terdata 1.500 – 2.000 partner per semester yang membuka kesempatan kegiatan Internship/magang setiap tahunnya.

To support the Enrichment Program activities, which include a 3-year learning process at campus and a 1-year Enrichment Program with an internship, in 2019 a unit was established that especially assists in placing students in an internship program and provides information about internship needs from industry partners. At this time, there are 1,500–2,000 industry partners per semester which provide internship opportunities every year.

Activities and Process in Internship Center

Dimulai dengan melakukan “student career preparation profiling” yaitu melakukan pengukuran softskills sebagai bagian dari graduate attribute yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap BINUSIAN. Dari hasil pengukuran tersebut akan dilakukan penguatan untuk setiap softskills yang masih perlu ditingkatkan ataupun dipertahankan untuk menjadi lebih baik lagi melalui “softskills enrichment workshop” serta “career seminar festival” dimana program-program ini akan diisi langsung oleh para pimpinan atau pakar/expert sesuai bidangnya dari partner industri.

It begins by doing “student career preparation profiling”, which is measuring the soft skills as a part of the graduate attributes which should be possessed by every BINUSIAN. From the results of these measurements, a reinforcement will be done of every soft skill which still needs to be improved or maintained to become better through the “Soft Skills Enrichment Workshop” and “Career Seminar Festival”, in which these programs will be filled by leaders or experts according to their fields from industry partners.

Internship Center juga menyiapkan career counselling bagi setiap BINUSIAN untuk bisa melakukan diskusi terkait kecocokan antara minat, bakat, dan ketertarikan (passion) yang dimiliki dengan bidang pekerjaan, termasuk kecocokan masing-masing track dalam Enrichment Program yang akan diambil oleh mahasiswa. Sebelum dimulainya “internship on board” di semester 6, maka pada semester 5 Internsip Center rutin mengadakan “internship expo” untuk membantu proses penempatan bagi setiap mahasiswa serta mengenalkan mahasiswa dengan partner industri secara langsung dengan mengakses internship.apps.binus.ac.id (hanya bisa diakses setelah mahasiswa berhasil registrasi Enrichment di BINUSMAYA)

The Internship Center also provides career counseling for any BINUSIAN who would like to discuss their matches with the particular interests, abilities, and passions that they have with a job field, including the match of each track in the Enrichment Program which will be taken by the students. Before beginning the “Internship on Board” in semester 6, in semester 5 the Internship Center routinely holds an “Internship Expo” to assist in the placement process for all students and to introduce them to industry partners directly by accessing internship.apps.binus.ac.id (can only be accessed after students successfully register for Enrichment at BINUSMAYA).

Proses internship/magang dapat dilakukan selama 2 (dua) semester dimana partner industri akan memberikan job position yang disesuaikan dengan program studi/program masing – masing mahasiswa dengan total bobot 32 SKS. Mahasiswa akan belajar secara langsung mulai dari mengikuti budaya kerja dan bekerja secara professional sesuai dengan aturan dan ketentuan yang berlaku. Yang terpenting adalah mahasiswa memiliki kesempatan untuk dapat langsung mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang dipelajari di kampus dalam lingkungan kerja sesungguhnya (real world).

The internship process can be done for 2 semesters, where the industry partners will provide job positions that match with the study programs of the students with a total of 32 credits. The students will learn directly by joining the work culture, working professionally based on the effective rules and regulations. Most importantly, the students will have the opportunity to directly apply the knowledge they acquire at campus in a real-world environment.

• Entrepreneurship Track

Enrichment Program Entrepreneurship track bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman yang nyata sebagai wirausaha dalam menciptakan dan menjalankan bisnis.

The Entrepreneurship Track Enrichment Program strives to provide real experiences as entrepreneurs in creating and running a business.

Di dalam program Entrepreneurship track mahasiswa akan belajar menciptakan, mengembangkan ide bisnis dengan Business Model, pengembangan pasar, membuat prototype dan pengembangan produk dengan menjalankan bisnis startup.

In the Entrepreneurship Track Enrichment Program, students will learn how to create and develop their business ideas in a business model, develop a market, make a prototype, and develop a product by running a startup business.

Entrepreneurship track dapat diikuti untuk satu semester atau dua semester sekaligus tergantung dari ketentuan dari kurikulum jurusan.

The Entrepreneurship Track can be joined for one semester or two semesters concurrently, depending on the stipulations of the department curriculum.

Target dari semester pertama mahasiswa dapat membuat prototype dan melakukan validasi. Target dari semester ke dua, melanjutkan hasil dari semester pertama untuk dapat dilakukan pengembangan usahanya.

In the first semester, students will develop a prototype and conduct validation. In the second semester, the students will continue with the results of the first semester to be able to develop their businesses.

International Office (IO) adalah salah satu unit pendukung yang memfasilitasi program dan kegiatan internasional. Program dan kegiatan ini berfokus untuk memberikan pengalaman internasional bagi mahasiswa selama studinya di BINUS UNIVERSITY. Program yang diselenggarakan meliputi program mobilitas mahasiswa seperti Student Exchange/Study Abroad, Double Degree, Short Course dan Immersion, serta kegiatan di kampus seperti Seminar, Guest Lecture, International Corner activities (AussieBanget Corner, Korea Corner, Warung Prancis) dan International Festivals. BINUS UNIVERSITY has a dormitory which can be chosen as a comfortable place to stay for BINUSIANS, which is called BINUS Square. Besides being a place to stay, the BINUSIANS who live at BINUS Square also have the opportunity to join various activities that are held at the campus area, which can help BINUSIANS to keep developing their self-potentials.

Selain itu, BINUSIAN yang mengalami kendala dalam mengikuti perkuliahan juga akan difasilitasi dengan kegiatan responsi/belajar bersama secara rutin. Bagi BINUSIAN yang ingin mengembangkan kemampuan berorganisasi juga bisa bergabung dengan Organisasi Kemahasiswaan khusus BINUS Square dan juga berkesempatan menjadi bagian dari Aktivis BINUS Square.

Under the guidance of the Program Development Center (PDC), BINUSIANS can join activities like training sessions, workshops, talk shows, seminars, as well as various other soft skill development programs. Besides that, there is also a counseling service which can help mentor students who live at BINUS Square when they are faced with personal problems or things related with academic constraints while joining classes. In addition, BINUSIANS who experience obstacles in joining classes will also be facilitated with joint learning activities on a routine basis. For BINUSIANS who want to develop their organizational abilities, they can also join the BINUS Square Student Affairs Organization and become BINUS Square activists.
